What do you think about Microsoft trying to buy Yahoo?

With the recent publicity, we've learned that Microsoft put in a bid to buy Yahoo.

What do you think about this?

Do you think this would be good or bad for Yahoo?

My personal feelings are that if Microsoft took over, then Yahoo would start losing some of the characteristics that make it easy and free for the regular person. Microsoft, IMO, tends to be more interested in the money to be gained than the needs of the average person.

I would be very disappointed if Microsoft gained control of Yahoo.

What I think is when a company like Yahoo starts ignoring problems rather than fixing them it's a sign they plan to sell but I don't really like the idea of a company like Microsoft buying them because they like to charge for a person to even chat in a chat room. Plus they themselves have problems they ignore rather than fix. Yahoo has problems in the chat rooms with the sound and also with bots. Then there is the problems with yahoo 360. 360 isn't very user friendly and now can't be used as a profile for some reason. But on the other hand the other company has problems with being able to change your user name in their groups. And wow talk about not being very user friendly on windows live. They have problems too. It boils down to do you want to be charged to chat in a chat room or not?
